Tangail, May 04 (V7N) – Police in Tangail have arrested a robber in the act of stealing 50,000 Bangladeshi Taka from an elderly man who had just withdrawn the money from the Sonali Bank's Tangail branch.

The incident occurred on Sunday morning, May 4. According to local reports, the victim was attacked by the robber shortly after leaving the bank, who attempted to snatch the withdrawn sum.

A traffic policeman, identified as Abdul Hai, who has been serving in Tangail for an extended period, intervened with the assistance of local residents and successfully apprehended the robber at the scene.

The swift action of the police officer and the community has been met with widespread praise in the area. The general public is now urging increased vigilance during bank transactions following this incident.
