Dhaka, Sep 02 (V7N) – The price of gold has been increased again in Bangladesh’s domestic market. The Bangladesh Jewelers’ Association (BAJUS) announced the new rates in a press release on Monday (September 1), citing a rise in the price of acid gold in the local market.

According to the new rates, effective from Tuesday (September 2):

  • The price of 22-carat gold has gone up by Tk 1,470 to Tk 1,75,788 per bhori.

  • The price of 21-carat gold has risen by Tk 1,399 to Tk 1,67,798 per bhori.

  • The price of 18-carat gold has been increased by Tk 1,157 to Tk 1,43,829 per bhori.

  • The price of traditional gold has gone up by Tk 1,115 to Tk 1,19,443 per bhori.

This marks the third hike within a week, following previous increases on August 27 and August 31.
