Dhaka, Jun 08 (V7N) – Aminbazar’s skin market, located on the outskirts of the capital, is currently experiencing a significant shortage of buyers. On Sunday (June 8), the number of both buyers and sellers was noticeably low compared to usual. This decline has caused concern among local shopkeepers, who say the reduced demand is leading to unfair price practices and unfulfilled price expectations.

Shopkeepers at Aminbazar reported that the processing of skins is being disrupted due to a lack of skilled workers. Additionally, there is a reluctance to purchase skins at present, leading to further difficulties in business operations.

Meanwhile, many sellers are waiting to offload their skins but are finding few takers among the local shopkeepers. Moreover, no buyers from outside the area have arrived to boost the trade. As a result, seasonal traders are being advised to preserve their skins by salting them at home until market conditions improve.

The current situation at Aminbazar highlights the challenges faced by local traders during this Eid season, as market activity slows down and uncertainties persist.
