Dhaka, Sep 12 (V7N)- BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal will work to eradicate rape and abuse of women and children from society.
He made the remarks on Saturday (September 12) ahead of a rally in the capital’s Nayapaltan area marking the 48th founding anniversary of the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal.
Rizvi said ensuring women’s rights requires expanding access to education and creating opportunities for women to become financially self-reliant.
He said the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal was built through years of sacrifice and struggle, adding that its leaders are fully capable of taking responsibility for running the state.
The BNP leader urged party activists to inform people about the government’s various programs. He described the Family Card initiative for women as a significant and groundbreaking step toward empowering women.
Rizvi stressed that collective efforts are needed to ensure the social and economic advancement of women.
He said not everyone can become a member of parliament or a minister, but those who hold such positions represent the broader leadership and aspirations of the people.
Rizvi also called on the Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal to work toward implementing BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s people-friendly and women-friendly programs.
Referring to the organization’s past political movements, he said the Mohila Dal had previously played a significant role in putting pressure on the then Awami League government.
