Dhaka, Jul 19 (V7N)- BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the party has not yet held any discussion on the process of selecting candidates for the upcoming local government elections.
He made the remarks while submitting BNP’s annual income and expenditure statement to the Election Commission on Sunday (July 19) morning.
Rizvi said that the party and its highest policy-making forum will hold discussions and announce the candidate selection process later.
“No decision has been taken on this matter yet. The party’s highest policy-making body will discuss the issue and inform everyone about the process of selecting candidates,” he said.
He also said that submitting the party’s financial report was part of BNP’s commitment to accountability and transparency before the people.
Rizvi further stated that BNP is working to implement the commitments made in its election manifesto before the national polls.\
