Dhaka, May 18 (V7N) — The second funeral prayer of former State Minister for Health and former BNP treasurer Mizanur Rahman Sinha was held at Nayapaltan in the capital on Monday (May 18), where senior leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) gathered to pay their respects.
Speaking at the program, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the government is actively implementing election promises and undertaking various public welfare initiatives, including visits to different districts.
He also stated that leaders like Mizanur Rahman Sinha were greatly needed during this period due to their experience and contributions to national development.
Party leaders placed wreaths on the coffin of the deceased before the second funeral prayer. The burial is scheduled to take place in the afternoon in Munshiganj following the final rites at his family graveyard in Kalma.
Earlier, the first funeral prayer was held on Sunday at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, where senior political figures and members of parliament reportedly attended to pay tribute.
