Dhaka, Mar 13 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee Member, Political Adviser to the Prime Minister, and Member of Parliament Mirza Abbas has been admitted to hospital after suddenly falling ill. Preparations are underway to take him to Singapore for advanced treatment on Friday (March 13).
The information was confirmed in a message on Thursday (March 12). According to the message, doctors have advised that Mirza Abbas be transported to Singapore by air ambulance for further treatment.
Earlier on Wednesday evening, Mirza Abbas suddenly lost consciousness while drinking water during Iftar. When his condition did not improve, he was admitted to hospital late that night.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited the hospital on Thursday night to inquire about his health condition. He spoke with Mirza Abbas’s wife regarding his treatment and prayed for his speedy recovery. He was accompanied by Dhaka Metropolitan North Jamaat leader Dr. SM Khaliduzzaman.
In addition, BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, and Standing Committee Member and Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Minister Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain also visited the hospital to check on Mirza Abbas’s condition and ongoing treatment.
