Dhaka, Jan 05 (V7N)- BNP Standing Committee member Abdul Moin Khan said that Begum Khaleda Zia proved through her life that the country and democracy always came first, emphasizing that her true strength lay not in weapons but in the support of the people.
He made the remarks on Monday (January 5) morning after placing wreaths at the tombs of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in Sher-e-Banglanagar, alongside leaders and activists of the Aamra BNP (AAB).
Speaking to reporters, Abdul Moin Khan said that Khaleda Zia sacrificed her personal comfort and safety to fight for the nation and the rights of its people.
“While others were engaged in creating division, she remained uncompromising in her struggle,” he said.
He further noted that Khaleda Zia’s politics were rooted in mass movements and street-based struggles, describing her as a leader who consistently stood with the people during critical moments in the country’s political history.
His remarks came amid continued tributes and remembrance programs marking the legacy of the late BNP Chairperson.
