Dhaka, Jan 01 (V7N) – Jamuna Group Chairman Advocate Salma Islam expressed her deep sorrow over the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, calling it an irreparable loss not only for BNP politics but also for the nation. She praised Khaleda Zia’s contributions to the country’s politics and women’s education as enduring examples for future generations.
On Thursday (January 1) afternoon, Salma Islam visited the Gulshan office of the BNP Chairperson to sign the condolence book. She was welcomed by BNP Executive Committee member and BFF Chairman Tabith Awal, while Jugantor Joint Secretary BM Jahangir was also present.
After signing the condolence book, Salma Islam told reporters that Khaleda Zia’s uncompromising character enabled her to overcome numerous challenges and that she would remain a guiding shadow for the people of Bangladesh.
She further highlighted Khaleda Zia’s contributions to the private sector, saying that the business community would always remember her with gratitude. Salma Islam added that Khaleda Zia’s political legacy serves as an example for people of all parties and opinions.
