Dhaka, Dec 05 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has stated that former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia may be taken to London next Sunday for better medical treatment, depending on the advice of doctors regarding her physical condition.

Speaking to reporters after Friday prayers on Friday, Mirza Fakhrul said that Khaleda Zia requires advanced medical care, which she is receiving in England. He noted that her health has deteriorated due to lack of proper treatment in prison. He also praised her dedication to strengthening democracy despite her ongoing health challenges.

Earlier, he mentioned that the special air ambulance from the Emir of Qatar could not arrive in Dhaka on Friday due to a technical fault. If everything goes according to plan, the air ambulance is expected to reach Dhaka on Saturday, after which Khaleda Zia’s fitness to travel will be assessed.
