Dhaka, Dec 02 (V7N) — BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be taken abroad for treatment depending on her physical condition, after which her son Tarique Rahman will decide on her return to Bangladesh. He expressed hope that she will return home soon if her health remains stable.
Mirza Fakhrul made these remarks while addressing a prayer meeting organized by the Jubo Dal at a community center in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, on Tuesday (December 2), seeking prayers for Khaleda Zia’s recovery.
Meanwhile, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed said that despite ongoing challenges, there is a positive sign in Khaleda Zia’s treatment, and she is currently able to receive medical care.
Rizvi also criticized the Awami League government, stating that Khaleda Zia was sent to jail over a false case and that timely arrangements for proper treatment could have prevented the current situation.
