Natore, Nov 10 (V7N) — Barrister M. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, a member of the BNP central executive committee and the party’s nominated candidate for the sheaf of paddy symbol in the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election for Natore-2 constituency, issued a strong warning against potential conspiracies ahead of the polls.
Speaking on Sunday afternoon at a discussion meeting organized by the Khajura Union BNP at Durlovpur Ansar Chashi Field in Khajura Union of Naldanga Upazila, Dulu accused the ruling Awami League of orchestrating schemes to manipulate the election. “This Awami League has conspired extensively regarding this election. Today, what has happened to them? They have fled the country and taken refuge in India,” he said.
Dulu emphasized the importance of the election, calling it a matter of Bangladesh’s independence and the people’s democracy. He urged BNP activists to remain calm as instructed by party leader Tarique Rahman, while warning that any attempt to sabotage the polls would not be tolerated. “The people, including Tarique Rahman and national leaders, will not accept any conspiracy regarding this election. We urge the Election Commission to announce the election date as soon as possible. There will be no peace or freedom for the people of Bangladesh without a fair and transparent election,” he added.
The meeting was attended by key party figures, including Natore district BNP convener Rahim Newaz, joint conveners Mostafizur Rahman Shaheen and Saiful Islam Aftab, district BNP members Sabina Yasmin Chhobi, Advocate Shakhawat Hossain, M.A. Hafiz, and former Khajura Union Parishad chairman Zahurul Islam Bhuttu, alongside numerous local leaders and activists.
The discussion highlighted BNP’s commitment to ensuring the victory of their candidate and securing a free and fair election process in the Natore-2 constituency.
