Dhaka, Oct 06 (V7N) – A delegation of the National Citizens Party (NCP) held a meeting with Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Beris Ekinci on Monday (October 6) evening to discuss the overall situation in Bangladesh, including justice, reforms, and election preparations.

The meeting took place at the Turkish Embassy in Dhaka at around 7 p.m., with a six-member NCP delegation led by party convener Nahid Islam. Other members of the delegation included Alauddin Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Monira Sharmin, Neelima Dola, and Dr. Atiq Mujahid.

During the meeting, both sides discussed in detail the government’s initiatives for ensuring free and fair elections, as well as ongoing and proposed constitutional and institutional reforms.

Discussions also covered the formation of a joint economic commission between Bangladesh and Turkey, bilateral cooperation, youth exchange programs, and the repatriation of Rohingya refugees.

Deputy Foreign Minister Beris Ekinci expressed appreciation for Bangladesh’s efforts in maintaining stability and promoting democratic governance, while Nahid Islam thanked Turkey for its continued support and expressed optimism about further strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
