Dhaka, Aug 01 (V7N) – National Citizens Party (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari emphasized that Bangladesh cannot become a developed country without improving workers’ wages and working conditions. He also stressed the need for workers to have representation in Parliament.

Speaking at a function of the NCP workers’ wing at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Friday afternoon, Patwari criticized the government for reportedly using force against workers after the mass uprising. He added that brokers have long come between owners and workers, and alleged that influential figures linked to a political party now dominate key transport hubs.

Patwari also announced that 92 new members have recently joined the NCP’s workers’ wing.
