Naogaon, July 06 (V7N) — National Citizens Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain has emphasized the party's commitment to establishing a political culture free from the influence of terrorism and money.
“We want to build a politics where the influence of terrorism and money will not be tolerated,” Akhtar Hossain said while speaking to reporters in Naogaon on Sunday morning (July 6).
Highlighting the NCP’s vision, Akhtar Hossain said, “We want to engage in politics for the country’s interests. Those who work for the welfare of the nation and its people do not engage in division. There can be competition for leadership or good work, but internal conflicts and muscle power politics have no place in our movement.”
Reflecting on the public reception in Naogaon, he noted, “When we came to Naogaon yesterday with our march, there was a massive crowd. The city echoed with slogans. However, it was disheartening to see the poor condition of the city roads. Naogaon has unique needs and potentials, and infrastructural development is urgently required.”
Akhtar Hossain further said the NCP had engaged with locals about steps to tackle unemployment and improve living standards. He expressed optimism that Naogaon would emerge as a significant base for the party.
“The response from the people of Naogaon has been incredible. From rickshaw pullers to working-class citizens, everyone has welcomed the NCP’s message. The perception that NCP is only a youth party has been disproven here. People of all ages, including families of martyrs, have joined us, which has truly encouraged us,” he added.
As part of the ‘Desh Garte July Padayatra’ program, NCP leaders and activists departed from a rest house in Naogaon for Chapainawabganj at 11 am.
