Bogra, July 05 (V7N) — National Citizens Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam has pledged to ensure justice for those shot and attacked during the student-public uprising. He also vowed justice for Sheikh Hasina and Awami League leaders and activists, along with the police who killed protestors on Bengali soil.

Nahid made the statement during a meeting with the families of the martyrs of the July Uprising at the Parjatan Motel meeting room in Bogra city on Saturday morning (July 5).

Although acknowledging that the trial related to the July movement will be a lengthy process, Nahid emphasized the importance of initiating it promptly and making it visible. He called for a clear roadmap for the trial and urged the government to provide political, economic, and social security to the families of the martyrs and the injured.

He stated that responsibility for these actions should extend beyond the current government to any future administrations in Bangladesh. Highlighting the importance of the "July Charter," Nahid stressed that reforms must be ensured through this declaration.

The meeting was attended by central NCP leaders, including Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam. As part of the anniversary of the July Uprising, the NCP plans to conduct a phased 'July Padayatra' program across 64 districts of the country.
