Dhaka, July 26 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast temporary gusty or squally winds accompanied by rain and thunderstorms in several parts of the country by noon on Sunday (July 26).

According to a weather bulletin issued by the Storm Warning Center for the country's inland river ports from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm, winds with speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may sweep across parts of the country from the south or southeast.

The forecast covers the regions of Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.

In view of the adverse weather conditions, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has instructed inland river ports in the affected areas to hoist Local Cautionary Signal No. 1.

The weather office has advised river transport operators and residents in the affected regions to remain alert as rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds may temporarily disrupt normal activities.
