Dhaka, Oct 17 (V7N)- All scheduled banks across Bangladesh will remain open today, October 17, to facilitate banking services ahead of the five-day holiday period for Durga Puja. Banking activities will continue according to the regular schedule.

Scheduled banks will remain closed from October 20 to 22 for the Durga Puja holidays. However, banks are operating today despite it being a weekly holiday to help coordinate the extended break.

To ensure the continuation of international trade, bank branches and booths at seaports, land ports and airports have been instructed to provide limited banking services related to imports and exports during the government holidays from October 20 to 22 and the weekly holidays on October 23 and 24.

Banks have been asked to take the necessary measures in coordination with local administrations and customs authorities to maintain these services.
