Dhaka, July 30 (V7N)- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman began his day's official activities by handing over appointment letters to three persons with disabilities at his office in the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat on Thursday (July 30) morning.

Among the recipients, Nila Khatun and Ayesha Akhter, who were born without both hands, completed their postgraduate studies by writing with their feet.

Nila Khatun has been appointed as a teacher at the National Disability Development Foundation in Mirpur, Dhaka, while Ayesha Akhter has been appointed as a class supervisor at Beam Laboratory School and College in Gaibandha.

Meanwhile, visually impaired Md. Hasmat Ali has been appointed as a Union Social Worker under the Department of Social Services.

After receiving their appointment letters directly from the Prime Minister, the newly appointed individuals expressed their joy and gratitude.

Minister for Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, State Minister for Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Farzana Sharmin Putul, and other senior officials were present during the ceremony.
