Moulvibazar, Jun 17 (V7N) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is on a day-long visit to Moulvibazar today, where he is scheduled to inaugurate a family card distribution program and attend several official and political events.

The Prime Minister departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Sylhet at around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday before continuing his journey to Moulvibazar by road.

According to the schedule, Tarique Rahman will attend a program in Srimangal at 1:00 p.m. before heading to the Moulvibazar Government High School grounds at 2:00 p.m. There, he is expected to formally inaugurate the family card distribution program, which is considered the main event of his visit.

Following the official engagements, the Prime Minister is scheduled to travel to Dusai Resort in the afternoon for a brief rest. Later in the day, he will attend a political meeting with local leaders and activists.

After completing his programs, Tarique Rahman is expected to return to Dhaka in the evening from Sylhet Osmani International Airport.

Meanwhile, extensive preparations have been completed across Moulvibazar ahead of the Prime Minister's visit. Security measures have been tightened at key venues, while local administration officials remain on high alert to ensure the smooth conduct of the programs.

The visit has generated considerable enthusiasm among party leaders and activists, many of whom have gathered to welcome the Prime Minister and participate in the day's events.
