Dhaka, Jun 11 (V7N) – Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has unveiled a commemorative postage stamp worth Tk 10 to mark the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The unveiling ceremony was held on Thursday morning at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat. Alongside the commemorative stamp, the Prime Minister also released a souvenir sheet with an envelope valued at Tk 50 and a data card worth Tk 5. A special commemorative seal was used during the occasion.
Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam, Ministry Secretary Bilkis Jahan Rimi, Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Atiqur Rahman Rumon, and Additional Director General of the Department of Posts S. M. Harunur Rashid were present at the ceremony.
The commemorative stamp, souvenir sheet, envelope and data card have been issued to celebrate the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026, one of the world's most prestigious sporting events.
