Chandpur, May 16 (V7N) – Tarique Rahman left Dhaka for Chandpur on Saturday morning for his first visit to the district in 22 years.
According to his schedule, the Prime Minister departed from his Gulshan residence and is expected to attend several public and administrative programs throughout the day.
Road Meeting in Comilla
On his way to Chandpur, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to address a roadside public gathering at Laxmipur Bazar ground in Barura upazila of Comilla.
Development and Welfare Programs in Chandpur
After arriving in Chandpur, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the re-excavation work of Khordda Khal in Shahrasti upazila and Bishwa Khal in Chandpur Sadar as part of water management and local development initiatives.
One of the major highlights of the visit is a family card distribution program at Chandpur Government College ground.
Political Activities Also Scheduled
Alongside government engagements, Tarique Rahman is also expected to participate in an organizational meeting of the district BNP at Chandpur Club.
Local BNP leaders and activists have expressed enthusiasm over the visit, saying the Prime Minister is expected to deliver a message of development and grassroots political strengthening during the tour.
Tight Security Measures
The district administration has taken extensive security arrangements to ensure the smooth completion of the visit, with law enforcement agencies remaining on high alert throughout the day.
