Dhaka, Apr 13 (V7N) – Director General of the Rapid Action Battalion, Ahsan Habib Palash, has said extensive security measures have been taken across the country to ensure a safe and festive celebration of Pohela Boishakh 1433.

He made the remarks on Monday while inspecting security arrangements at Ramna Batamul and other key venues in the capital.

The RAB chief stated that although there is no specific security threat, the force remains fully prepared to faced any potential sabotage. A total of 15 battalions have been deployed nationwide, supported by 308 patrol teams, including 181 pickup patrol units and 127 motorcycle patrol units. Plainclothes intelligence surveillance has also been intensified.

Special security measures have been implemented at major locations in Dhaka, including Shahbagh, TSC, Suhrawardy Udyan, Rabindra Sarobar, Hatirjheel, Manik Mia Avenue, Bangla Academy, and Ramna Batamul. Checkposts, observation posts, and regular patrols have been strengthened in these areas.

To prevent any untoward incidents, the Bomb Disposal Unit and Dog Squad are conducting sweeping operations, while the RAB Special Commando Force has been kept on standby.

Additionally, control rooms, foot patrols, CCTV monitoring, and reserve forces have been deployed across the country to ensure overall security during the celebrations.
