Dhaka, Mar 20 (V7N) – On the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, known as Jumatul Bida, thousands of worshippers gathered at mosques across Bangladesh, including the capital, to offer Friday prayers, despite intermittent rainfall in Dhaka.
Devout Muslims, eager to seek forgiveness and mercy from Allah during the concluding days of fasting, filled mosques across the city. Special prayers were offered for the welfare of the country, the nation, and for the peace, unity, and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah. Many worshippers continued their prayers and devotion long after the formal Friday sermon ended.
At the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, Khatib Allama Mufti Abdul Malek led congregational prayers, supplicating for the peace, prosperity, and welfare of Bangladesh. He also urged prayers for unity and brotherhood among Muslims and for global peace.
Worshippers additionally prayed that the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr brings happiness, joy, and peace to all.
Jumatul Bida, the final Friday of Ramadan, holds special significance for Muslims, marking a time for reflection, forgiveness, and intensified devotion before the celebration of Eid.
