Saidpur, Mar 16 (V7N)- Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman arrived at Saidpur Airport on Monday morning to attend several official programs in Dinajpur.

He landed at the airport at 10:15 am, where leaders and activists welcomed him with flowers. From Saidpur, the Prime Minister left for Dinajpur by road to attend the scheduled events.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the “Canal Excavation Program-2026” by starting excavation work at the Sahapara Canal in Balrampur, Kaharol Upazila of Dinajpur.

Earlier in the morning, he departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9:30 am on a domestic flight to Saidpur.

As part of the visit, the Prime Minister will formally launch the nationwide canal excavation program by digging the Sahapara Canal. After the inauguration, he is scheduled to address a public gathering at 12:30 pm as the chief guest.

Later in the afternoon, Tarique Rahman will visit the Sheikh Farid Model Graveyard in Dinajpur to pay respects at the graves of his grandparents and aunt.

In the evening, the Prime Minister is expected to attend a public meeting and an iftar mahfil at the Dinajpur Circuit House premises at 5 pm.
