Dhaka, Feb 07 (V7N)- Deputy Commissioner Talebur Rahman of the Media and Public Relations Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday said that police did not target any individual during the clash between law enforcers and protesters on Friday.
He made the statement while speaking at a press briefing on Saturday morning.
Talebur Rahman said the incident in which a journalist was beaten was unintentional, adding that the police acted with patience while handling the situation. “Law enforcement agencies restrained the protesters solely to maintain public order,” he said.
Referring to the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election, the DMP official urged all concerned to refrain from any activities that could disrupt peace and law and order.
