Dhaka, Jan 15 (V7N) — President Md. Shahabuddin received the credentials of the newly appointed US Ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent Christensen, at Bangabhaban on Thursday, marking the formal start of the ambassador’s official duties in the country.
During the ceremony, President Shahabuddin expressed hope that relations between Bangladesh and the United States would be further strengthened in trade, investment, education, and culture.
In response, Ambassador Christensen reaffirmed his commitment to deepening bilateral relations and making them more multidimensional and fruitful. He also sought the President’s guidance and cooperation to carry out his responsibilities effectively.
The President assured the ambassador of full support during his tenure in Bangladesh.
Senior officials from the President’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present at the credential presentation ceremony.
