Dhaka, Dec 17 (V7N) — A fire erupted at a plastic godown in the Chairman Ghat area of Lalbagh, Dhaka, on Wednesday afternoon. Fire officials said the blaze started around 1:30 pm.

A total of 10 fire service units were dispatched to the scene, arriving at 1:50 pm, and are currently working to control the fire. The fire service has confirmed that the blaze originated in a plastic factory located within the godown, but details on the cause and casualties, if any, are yet to be confirmed.

Authorities continue firefighting operations to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.
