Dhaka, Oct 24 (V7N) — A fire broke out on the 6th floor of a multi-storey building in the Kalshi area of Mirpur-11 on Friday night. Ten units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence are currently working to bring the blaze under control.

According to the Fire Service media cell, the fire was reported at around 10:12 pm, and the first unit reached the spot at 10:27 pm. Subsequently, nine more units joined the operation to douse the flames.

The ground floor of the building houses a community center, officials said.

No immediate reports of casualties or the cause of the fire were available as of filing this report.
