Valencia, Sep 14 (V7N)- Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the La Liga season with a 4-2 victory over Levante on Sunday, with Lamine Yamal scoring twice to secure the Catalan giants’ fifth consecutive league win.
Barcelona took the lead in the fifth minute when Xavi Espart scored his first senior goal for the club. Yamal doubled the advantage in the 19th minute after combining with Raphinha.
Yamal struck again from the penalty spot in the 48th minute to put Barcelona 3-0 ahead. Levante responded through Ivan Romero in the 79th minute before Roger Brugué reduced the deficit further in the 88th minute.
With the hosts threatening a late comeback, Barcelona sealed the victory in stoppage time when new signing Karim Adeyemi scored in the 93rd minute.
The victory keeps Barcelona three points clear of second-placed Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table. The result also extended their perfect league record to five wins from five matches.
Levante, meanwhile, remain in 13th place with five points from five matches.
