Barcelona, Sep 10 (V7N)- Barcelona’s goal-scoring spree shows no sign of slowing down as Hansi Flick’s side continued their blistering start to the season with a commanding 5–1 victory over Feyenoord at a rain-soaked Camp Nou.
After scoring five goals in each of their previous two La Liga matches, the Catalan giants once again found the net five times on the European stage. Barcelona have now scored five goals in four of their first five competitive matches, taking their overall tally to an extraordinary 22 goals.
Despite beginning the campaign without an established No. 9 following Robert Lewandowski’s departure, Flick appears to have found an effective solution by deploying Raphinha in a central attacking role.
The Brazilian opened the scoring just three minutes into the match, calmly finishing a brilliant pass from Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona doubled their advantage in the 22nd minute when German forward Karim Adeyemi unleashed a stunning curling effort from outside the box after receiving a pass from João Cancelo.
The hosts continued to dominate after the interval. Raphinha grabbed his second goal of the night in the 57th minute, finishing precisely from a through-ball supplied by Pedri.
Yamal then added Barcelona’s fourth in spectacular fashion in the 77th minute, finding the net with a superb long-range free-kick.
Feyenoord managed to pull one goal back through Sem Steijn in the 82nd minute, but any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished.
Just three minutes later, Gabriel Jesus completed Barcelona’s rout by heading home a pinpoint cross from Yamal in the 85th minute. It was Jesus’ first goal in a Barcelona shirt after joining the club in the final stages of the transfer window.
Barcelona ultimately cruised to a 5–1 victory, maintaining their remarkable attacking momentum and sending another warning to their rivals on the European stage.
