Barcelona, May 10 (V7N)- Tension continues to rise in the camp of Real Madrid CF ahead of the season’s final El Clasico against arch-rivals FC Barcelona.
Having already been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League and now facing the possibility of losing the La Liga title, unrest inside the Madrid dressing room has become a major talking point before Sunday’s high-voltage clash.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are scheduled to face each other at the Camp Nou on Sunday at 1:00am Bangladesh time.
According to reports, Real Madrid midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni were involved in a heated altercation during training sessions on consecutive days last week. Reports claim Valverde later required hospital treatment, while both players were reportedly fined heavily following the incident.
The issue came shortly after another reported dressing-room clash involving Antonio Rüdiger and Carreras, further intensifying speculation about internal instability within the club.
Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa addressed the matter by saying both players had admitted their mistakes and apologized.
He said, “What happens inside the Real Madrid dressing room should remain there. Leaking dressing-room matters is a betrayal of Real Madrid.”
Meanwhile, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick refused to comment extensively on Real Madrid’s internal problems and instead focused entirely on his own team.
Flick said he was only concerned about Barcelona’s preparation and maintaining strong communication within the squad.
Barcelona currently hold an 11-point lead over Real Madrid in the La Liga standings. A victory or even a draw in Sunday’s clash would confirm the Catalan club’s 29th league title.
