Dhaka, May 09 (V7N) — Bangladesh national cricket team scored 413 runs in their first innings against Pakistan national cricket team in the first Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday (May 9).

Bangladesh resumed the second day’s play on 310 for 4 after a solid batting display on the opening day.

Veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim, who was unbeaten on 48 overnight, returned to the crease alongside Liton Das, who had ended the day on 8 runs.

Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali opened the bowling on the second morning. Soon after, Liton Das launched a counterattack against Shaheen Shah Afridi, striking three consecutive boundaries in one over.

However, Liton’s innings ended on 33 runs when he was dismissed by Mohammad Abbas.

Bangladesh then lost quick wickets as Mehedi Hasan Miraj scored 10 and Taijul Islam made 17 before departing, leaving the hosts at 378 for 7.

At the other end, Mushfiqur completed his half-century from 114 balls on his birthday. He eventually scored 71 runs before being dismissed by Shaheen Afridi.

Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 413 runs.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas claimed five wickets, while Shaheen Afridi picked up three.
