Dhaka, Jan 23 (V7N) — The curtain will fall on the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) today as Rajshahi Warriors take on Chittagong Royals in the title-deciding mega final on Friday (January 23).

The much-anticipated final will begin at 6:00 pm at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Chittagong Royals were the first team to book a place in the final, defeating Rajshahi Warriors in the first qualifier of the tournament. Chasing a modest target of 133 runs, the Bandar Nagari side sealed victory with three balls remaining and six wickets in hand.

Under the leadership of Mehedi Hasan, Chittagong Royals finished the league stage strongly, securing six wins from ten matches to reach the final directly.

However, Rajshahi Warriors made a strong comeback after getting another opportunity. Overcoming the pressure, they won the high-voltage second qualifier, defeating Sylhet Titans by 12 runs to confirm their place in the final.

Notably, Rajshahi Warriors have won the BPL title once before, while Chittagong Royals—despite reaching the final twice—are yet to lift the trophy.

As the two teams face off tonight, the big question remains: Will Rajshahi claim their second title, or will Chittagong finally secure their maiden BPL championship? One thing is certain—both sides are eager to end the season on a high.
