Barcelona, Dec 10 (V7N)- Catalan giants FC Barcelona returned to winning ways after securing a 2–1 comeback victory over Eintracht Frankfurt at Camp Nou, thanks to a powerful second-half brace from defender Jules Kounde.

Much like Bayern earlier this week, Barcelona also fell behind at home. In the 21st minute, Frankfurt punished Barça’s high defensive line with a swift counterattack, stunning the home crowd by taking an early lead.

Despite trailing at halftime, Barcelona regained full control of the match after the break. French defender Kounde turned the game around with two goals in the span of just three minutes.

In the 50th minute, he equalized with a strong header from a perfectly placed Marcus Rashford cross.

Just three minutes later, in the 53rd minute, Kounde struck again—this time heading in a cross from teenage sensation Lamine Yamal to give the Catalans a 2–1 lead.

Hansi Flick’s men held onto their advantage and walked off the field with a crucial win, boosting their confidence in both domestic and European competitions.

With this victory, Barcelona strengthened their position in the UEFA Champions League group stage. In La Liga, the team climbed to the top of the table with 40 points, while rivals Real Madrid sit second with 36 points from 16 matches.

Overall, after winning in both La Liga and the Champions League this week, Flick’s Barcelona appear to be in strong form and high spirits.
