Barcelona, Dec 07 (V7N)- Barcelona secured a thrilling 5–3 victory over Real Betis in an action-packed La Liga clash, extending their lead over arch-rivals Real Madrid by one point. Despite Betis entering the match with a better goal-scoring record in the league, it was Barcelona who came out on top after a dramatic 90 minutes at the Camp Nou.

Betis struck first, taking an early lead in the 6th minute. But their advantage was short-lived as Ferran Torres produced a remarkable response. The Spanish forward equalized in the 11th minute with a smart flick and doubled the lead just two minutes later with a stunning volley. Torres completed his hat-trick within the first half-hour, delivering one of his finest performances in a Barcelona shirt.

Adding to Barcelona’s dominance, 19-year-old winger Rooney Bardagi scored his first La Liga goal in the 31st minute, unleashing a powerful right-footed shot from inside the penalty area to make it 4–1 before the break.

After halftime, Barcelona continued their attacking momentum as teenage sensation Lamine Yamal found the net, further cementing the Catalans’ control of the match.

Betis showed resilience late in the game. Diego Llorente pulled one back in the 85th minute, and Cucho Hernandez converted a penalty in the 90th minute to reduce the deficit. However, their efforts proved insufficient to threaten Barcelona’s commanding lead.

With this emphatic win, Barcelona not only claimed all three points but also strengthened their position at the top of the La Liga table, widening their advantage over Real Madrid as the title race intensifies.
