Dhaka, Nov 30 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is returning to the auction system after nearly a decade, with at least 84 players expected to secure franchises from the over 400 domestic and foreign cricketers on the final list.
The auction for the 12th season will begin on Sunday (November 30) at 4:00 pm Bangladesh time. It will take place at the Grand Ballroom of Radisson Blu Water Garden in Dhaka and will be broadcast live on T-Sports, as well as on the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) YouTube channel.
Six franchises will participate in this year’s BPL: Dhaka Capitals, Rangpur Riders, Chattogram Royals, Sylhet Titans, Rajshahi Warriors, and Noakhali Express. Each team must buy at least 12 and a maximum of 14 local cricketers, along with a minimum of two foreign players. Spending limits have been set by the BPL Governing Council to ensure fair play.
The auction will list cricketers by category, with domestic players’ salaries in Bangladeshi Taka and foreign players’ in US Dollars.
