Dhaka, Nov 25 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will see a new entrant this year, with Noakhali joining the tournament for the first time. The addition of the ‘Noakhali Express’, owned by Desh Travels, increases the number of participating teams from five to six for the 12th edition.

The BPL Governing Council has confirmed that all teams must submit their bank guarantees by November 27. The existing teams – Rangpur Riders, Dhaka Capitals, Sylhet Titans, Rajshahi Warriors, and Chittagong Royals – will also compete.

This year’s player auction will replace the traditional draft and is scheduled for November 30, three days behind the original schedule. The tournament will commence with the Sylhet phase on December 19, and the final match is set to be held on January 23.

The inclusion of Noakhali adds fresh excitement to the BPL, promising competitive matches and new talent for cricket fans to watch.
