Dhaka, Nov 13 (V7N)- The Bangladesh national football team will take to the field tonight to face Nepal in a friendly match at the Dhaka National Stadium. The match kicks off at 8 PM Bangladesh time.
Both sides view the encounter as a key opportunity to prepare for the upcoming Asian Cup qualifiers, where Bangladesh are looking to recover from a difficult run — suffering two defeats at home and managing two draws away in the group stage.
With crucial qualifiers ahead, including a decisive match against India on November 18, the Bangladesh squad aims to regain confidence through tonight’s fixture.
Forward Sheikh Morsalin will miss the match due to injury, while Fahamidul Islam is sidelined after picking up two yellow cards. Despite the setbacks, Bangladesh will pin their hopes on Hamza Chowdhury and Shamit Som to lead the charge.
Head coach Javier Cabrera described the friendly as “a great test for us and an opportunity to prepare for the main match against India.”
Team captain Jamal Bhuiyan added, “Our main target is India, but winning against Nepal will help us build a winning mentality.”
