Calgary, June 18 (V7N) — Portugal football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a special gift to US President Donald Trump—a personalized jersey bearing a meaningful message.

The jersey was handed over to Trump by former Portuguese Prime Minister and current European Council President Antonio Costa during Trump’s arrival in Calgary, Canada, for the ongoing G-7 summit this week.

The jersey carried the inscription: "A gift for President Donald Trump, Playing for Peace, CR7."

Upon receiving the gift and hearing the message, President Trump praised Ronaldo, calling him “one of the greatest footballers of all time.”
