Jhalokathi, Oct 26 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has expressed profound sorrow over the untimely death of Md. Nasim Akon, General Secretary of Rajapur Upazila BNP and former Organizing Secretary of the BNP district unit in Jhalokathi, following a motorcycle accident.
In a message of condolence issued to the media on Sunday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir stated that he is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Md. Nasim Akon, sharing the grief of his family and relatives. He described Akon as a devoted supporter of the principles and ideology of the late President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttam, and a firm believer in Bangladeshi nationalism.
The BNP Secretary General also highlighted Akon’s courageous role in the party’s democratic movements under the leadership of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He prayed for the eternal peace of Akon’s soul and extended heartfelt condolences to his grieving family, relatives, supporters, and well-wishers.
