Jhalokathi, Aug 07 (V7N) — A citizen dialogue focusing on the challenges and development prospects of Jhalokathi Sadar Municipality was held at the District Shilpakala Academy on Thursday afternoon.
The event was organised by Jhalokathi Municipality and chaired by Jhalokathi Deputy Commissioner Momin Uddin.
Dr. S.M. Ziauddin Haider, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health with the rank of State Minister, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Among the special guests were Jhalokathi Zila Parishad Administrator Advocate Md. Shahadat Hossain, Acting Superintendent of Police Mamun Al Islam, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Humayun Kabir.
The keynote paper was presented by Jhalokathi Municipality Administrator Julia Sukayna.
Speakers identified key civic challenges facing the municipality and discussed potential solutions and development opportunities to improve urban services and the quality of life for residents.
The dialogue was attended by local dignitaries, government officials from various departments, and members of the public.
