Jhalokathi, Jan 12 (V7N) — The monthly meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held on Sunday morning (January 11) at the conference room of the Jhalokathi District Administration, chaired by District Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman, Commanding Officer of the Jhalokathi Army Camp Lieutenant Colonel Yasir Arafat Bhuiya, the Superintendent of Jhalokathi Government Hospital, Additional District Magistrate Md. Touhidul Islam, the Upazila Nirbahi Officers of all four upazilas of the district, and senior officials from concerned departments.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the overall law and order situation in Jhalokathi district. Detailed discussions were also held on preparations and security measures surrounding the upcoming National Parliamentary Election and referendum. Emphasis was placed on ensuring a peaceful environment, strict compliance with the electoral code of conduct, and strengthening coordination among all relevant agencies.

The committee stressed the need for heightened vigilance at all levels and called upon concerned authorities to carry out their duties responsibly to maintain stability and public safety in the district during the election period.
