Dhaka, May 07 (V7N) — The Attorney General of Bangladesh, Md. Ruhul Quddus Kajal, has instructed Deputy Attorney Generals and Assistant Attorney Generals not to enter or participate in proceedings of courts outside their assigned jurisdiction, citing allegations of courtroom influence.

The directive was issued through an official notice from the Attorney General’s Office, Bangladesh on Wednesday (May 6).

The notice, signed by Administrative Officer Md. Nasir Uddin, stated that several law officers working in different courts have allegedly been found attending other courtrooms during hearings and attempting to influence ongoing cases.

In response, the Attorney General’s Office has directed all Deputy Attorney Generals and Assistant Attorney Generals to strictly avoid visiting courts other than their designated ones during active court sessions.
