Dhaka, May 07 (V7N) — President Md. Shahabuddin has called the second session of the 13th National Parliament, which will function as the budget session for the 2026–27 fiscal year, beginning on June 7.

The announcement was made in a notification issued on Thursday (May 7) by the Legislative Support Wing of the Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat.

According to the notification, acting under Clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution, the President has summoned the session to begin at 3:00 pm in the Parliament Chamber at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

The first session of the 13th Parliament began on March 12 and concluded on April 30.

Officials said the upcoming session is particularly significant as it will include the presentation, discussion, and passage of the national budget for the 2026–27 fiscal year.
