Dhaka, Sep 07 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has expelled a leader for allegedly approaching a female Dhaka University student to seek votes for a JCD candidate in the upcoming DUCSU elections.

The expelled leader, Imtiaz Ali Sujan, was serving as the member secretary of Purba Rupsa Thana Chhatra Dal in Khulna. The decision was announced in a party notification on Saturday morning.

The statement said Sujan was removed from his organizational post based on specific allegations of tarnishing the organization’s image and violating party discipline. Despite no central directive, Sujan’s actions were deemed unnecessary and damaging to the party’s reputation.

A video circulating on social media shows Sujan visiting the residence of a female Dhaka University student and calling her on the phone. He introduced himself, discussed the Chhatra Dal panel, and specifically sought support for the party’s GS candidate Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim.
