Dhaka, Sept 17 (V7N) – Ansar Uddin Khan Pathan, Coordinator (Grade-1) of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Investigation Agency, has shared an emotional statement following his promotion to Additional Inspector General of Police (Addl. IGP).
In a Facebook post, Pathan announced that the government had officially promoted him to the rank of Addl. IGP. However, due to reaching the end of his service tenure, he will not be able to join the position. He explained that despite this, his salary, allowances, and pension will now be restructured accordingly.
Expressing his feelings, Pathan wrote that the promotion restores his “minimum honor,” which he believes was long denied. He alleged that the previous government repeatedly deprived him of due promotion despite fulfilling all the qualifications set in the service rules.
Pathan noted that earlier, on April 30, 2025, the government appointed him as Coordinator (Grade-1) of the ICT Investigation Agency on a contractual basis, a post in which he continues to serve.
Concluding his message, Pathan sought prayers from friends, relatives, and well-wishers, saying he had been a victim of discrimination due to circumstances beyond his control.
