DHAKA, July 6, (v7n)– The Directorate of Madrasah Education has issued a directive making daily physical training (PT) and sports activities mandatory for students in all madrasahs across the country.
The move aims to nurture a healthy and energetic young generation and build a prosperous Bangladesh powered by youth vitality, according to a press release issued today.
The government is committed to expanding sports activities at the grassroots level and within educational institutions nationwide, the release added.
To implement the directive, assistant teachers of physical education at all madrasahs under the Directorate will organize daily PT sessions and sports programmes, ensuring active student participation. In institutions where the post of Assistant Teacher (Physical Education) remains vacant, the responsibility will be temporarily assigned to a serving teacher with proficiency in sports until the vacancy is filled.
