Pabna, Feb 10 (V7N) – Ahead of the 13th national parliamentary elections, Pabna district has 702 polling stations across its five constituencies, of which 269 have been identified as risky. The remaining 433 polling stations are considered general. Among the risky stations, 78 are high-risk and 191 are low-risk, according to the Special Branch of Pabna District Superintendent of Police.

The district administration has implemented extensive security measures to ensure peaceful and fair voting in a festive atmosphere. About 13,000 government officials and law enforcement personnel will be deployed for election security. This includes:

31 executive magistrates

1,200 army personnel

2,300 police personnel

120 RAB personnel

9,126 Ansar personnel

Pabna Police Superintendent Anwar Zahid explained that each polling station will have 13 Ansar members, 3 of them armed, along with 2 to 5 police members depending on the station’s risk level. Army, BGB, RAB patrols, striking forces, plainclothes police, and intelligence agency personnel will also be deployed to maintain law and order.

The total number of voters in Pabna’s five constituencies is 2,274,319, comprising 1,144,926 male voters, 1,129,376 female voters, and 17 third-gender voters. Constituency-wise details are as follows:

Pabna-01: 4 candidates, 337,723 voters, 94 polling stations

Pabna-02: 5 candidates, 492,476 voters, 140 polling stations

Pabna-03: 8 candidates, 482,802 voters, 176 polling stations

Pabna-04: 7 candidates, 437,145 voters, 129 polling stations

Pabna-05: 4 candidates, 524,173 voters, 163 polling stations
