Dhaka, Oct 09 (V7N)- Light rain and thundershowers are possible in Dhaka and its surrounding areas on Friday, with cloudy skies and a slight drop in daytime temperatures forecast by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

In a forecast issued for the six hours from 7 am on Friday, the department said the sky could remain cloudy or temporarily partly cloudy until noon.

Light rain or thundershowers may occur during the period, accompanied by southerly or southeasterly winds blowing at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour.

The department also forecast a slight decrease in daytime temperatures across the capital and nearby areas.

According to the Meteorological Department, Dhaka recorded a temperature of 25.0 degrees Celsius at 6 am on Friday.

Relative humidity stood at 89 per cent at the time.

Residents have been advised to remain alert to changing weather conditions, particularly during periods of rain and thunderstorms.
